Tree Planting

10th December 2021

To celebrate the 50th year as a designated country park the Grand Western Canal Rangers are commemorating the occasion by planting 50 trees along the canal.  The Rangers are working with several schools and community organisations to plant these trees. Two of our School Eco Warriors have been very excited today to plant a Devon Whitebeam tree in the village recreation ground. It is quite a special tree and only grows in this part of England. This was a great experience especially to spend time with the Ranger learning of wildlife along the canal. Many thanks to the GWC.
