C.H.A.T

18th December 2025

Throughout the school year, Amelie, Fleur, and Sophie have been collecting money to help support C.H.A.T – a local food bank in Tiverton. The children independently organised the creation and sale of their craft products to raise funds, and they made an astonishing £224.95. We then contacted Suzanne, Morrisons Tiverton's Community Champion, who arranged for C.H.A.T’s pre-made bags to be prepared so all the funds could purchase items that C.H.A.T themselves had highlighted as needed. It was wonderful to see the community coming together to help those in need over the Christmas period. The children were assisted by both Zara and Keira, who work at Morrisons – and they also presented the three with a gift to show their appreciation.

Then we travelled directly to C.H.A.T to deliver the food and other essential products for the food bank. We arrived at a time when they were really busy serving the people of the community, which was a humbling experience, with one child commenting that she felt so proud and good about what they had done. The staff at C.H.A.T were amazed at the amount of food the children brought – filling up three of their trolleys.

This is the second year that children in the school have raised funds to help C.H.A.T at this time of year; we are hoping that this legacy will continue into the future.
