Grenville Day 5

26th September 2025
What an awesome time we have had at Grenville this week! The children have been amazing representitives of the school - showing ALL of our school values and learning powers throughout all activities. They have ALL pushed themselves - showing great COURAGE when the going got tough; they reached their HONEST limit (literally Aiming for the Highest) and then went beyond - maybe showing a bit of FORGIVENESS towards myself for pushing them to - and probably beyond - their limit! TEAMWORK was on show in abundance with them encouring each other, helping their friends and organising each other to keep their rooms tidy (YES! I know! They CAN do it!) It was also lovely to see the KINDNESS and friendship towards their group as well as the children from Hemyock as well as being RESPECTFUL when listening to adults - including the instructors. I am not sure that we have ever had a better group of children when it came to sleeping and eating well so that they were ready to go the next day and do their best.

The final morning of activites were kayaking for Mr Snow's group and high ropes for Mr Curnow's group - looked and after and encouraged by Miss Price who can down for the final day.

Many thanks to all the children and adults involved in the trip: the staff and children from Hemyock for being great company; the staff at Grenville House who continue to improess with their knowledge, encouragment and compassion they show our children each year; to the adults at home who prepared their children so well - many of the children quoting their adults saying that they told them to do it!; and to Mr Curnow for continuing to be such a fantastic member of staff to have on residential!
