We went to Tiverton Parkway and caught the train to Exeter, St Davids. We then walked up to the library and museum. In the museum, the children had the opportunity to look at the artefacts and draw a picture of some of the items. Then we went into the library where the children were shown how to locate ‘non-fiction’ and ‘fiction’ books. We ate our lunch in the park and caught the train back to school. The children had a fabulous day and were all very well behaved.

There was a cross country event held between 9 schools in the Uffculme and Cullompton area at Cullompton Cricket Club on Wednesday. This is the 2nd out of 3 events and the children did really well. Take a look at the photos.

Manchester United v Portsmouth - Saturday, 6th February 2010
Match Report
On Saturday 6th February, children from Sampford Peverell, Wilcombe and Hemyock
primary schools went to see Manchester United play Portsmouth at Old
Trafford.
The journey started at 7am and five hours later we arrived at Old Trafford.
The stadium was very impressive and on the day there were 74,656 people watching
the match. The atmosphere was exciting and the children enjoyed joining in
with the team songs and actions. What a game to watch with 5 spectacular goals!
It was a great experience for the children and a good opportunity to meet and
spend time with children from the other schools.

Title: ‘Wish List’ gets boost from school Fayre - PRESS RELEASE
Children from Sampford Peverell Primary School enjoyed an afternoon of Christmas festivities, fun and games during their annual Fayre on Friday 11th December.
Organised by the PTFA (Parent, Teacher, Friends Association) in conjunction with the teachers and staff, the annual Fayre raises additional funding to cover many of the extra curricular trips and visits and additional learning resources & equipment the children have access to over and above the standard requirements.
Children got to meet Santa and took part in a host of activities, many running their own stalls, crafts and games for their parents, classmates and teachers to participate in. The Sampford Songsters delighted a packed audience with Christmas Carols while members of the PTFA served festive teas.
Stuart Foster-Hall, Chairman of the PTFA said “The Fayre was a great success. We
raised a staggering £473 and this will go towards meeting some of the ‘wishes’ posted
on our PTFA board by the children and parents.
“Due to budget constraints, staffing and ever increasing running costs, it’s hard for the school to supply all the extras that can make a difference to the children and staff and that’s where the PTFA comes in.
“We provide financial and volunteer support to the school and are completely dependant on the help of the parents. It’s up to each and every one of us to do our utmost to enhance our children’s experiences. We’re a small group of parents and are always hoping more parents will get involved.
“The funds raised from the Bazaar will now go towards making some of the children’s wishes come true”.

Our new photocopier will reduce the amount of waste and raw materials associated with office printing. The long life print drum will last 30 times longer than most print drums. The toner cassettes also have far less ndividually engineered and milled components (from 60 reduced to 5) and makes them far easily to recycle. Good News!
